British TV show is arriving in Grenada looking for New & Exciting Food & Drink Innovation
The British TV show, Tried & Tested is on a mission with an 8 Country, 8 City, 8 day innovation tour, arriving in Pure Grenada, the Spice of the Caribbean on the 12thth December on the final leg of the journey around the World. With only 24 hours to discover what is fresh and exciting in Grenada, famed for its production of rum, honey, spices and artisan chocolate, the tour is keen to see what this tropical island has to offer with new food, drink and kitchen innovation on this fast paced tour.
This is an opportunity for small artisan producers to feature on the TV show in its innovation segment. The section also includes the opportunity to have their products fast tracked to the UK and around the World to be launched at innovation “pop ups” in major global cities, with introductions to major retailers; their journey is documented as part of the show.
“Grenada was chosen as the final location of the tour as it is known as the “Spice Island”,a heritage which the show is keen to explore. With a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful scenery and warm year-round climate, Grenada makes the perfect location to host the final leg of the innovation tour,” said Andrew Mellon, the show’s Executive Producer.
The show just launched a number of new innovation products in London including Edible Spoons from Chicago and the new and exciting Eco munch food bowl, a bowl that you can actually eat, an exciting innovation found in South Africa.
“What will the Caribbean island of Grenada have to offer?” Mellon asked. “We are able to move incredibly quickly and present product to viewers within days of discovering something new, so we’re looking forward to new discoveries in Grenada that we can share globally.”
Mellon is confident that Grenada will reveal some exciting discoveries during the visit. Tried & tested, are also looking to build a team of correspondents in every major city across the World, to feed in information daily to a Live Feed. The show has offices in London and Los Angeles, giving the show a notable edge on food trends and innovation.
The Global Food Innovation Tour run from Wednesday 6th December until 13th December 2017. Launching in London and visiting Seoul, Tokyo, Brisbane, Auckland, Santiago, Miami and Grenada.
